As for the use of carbon fiber, it is not as effective of a emi/rfi shield as conventional metal shields. refer to:Electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness of carbon

Received 23 March 2000; accepted 22 July 2000It is though a good ESD material which is one of the reasons why I use it in the construction of my cords. My expierence is that it is rather fragile in it's raw, unepoxyed state, treat it with kid gloves or you will damage it.
Yes, I am using a Dream State Veridical on my RAM-modded Esoteric DV-50.Construction is excellent. ... and it is very nice. It seems to build on many of the same virtues from the Elrod Statement cords. One of the notable characteristics is an obvious "bloom" that serves the reproduced sound quite well.
To my ears, it was preferable to and is the only deviation from Nordost Valhallas presently in my system.
I have not yet auditioned any of their other cords.
2K for a power cord, I THINK NOT!For 2K I would get an electrician to run a cryo'd line from my circuit breaker box hard wired directly to my gear.
No doubt it may have its qualities, but its beginning to get a bit obvious that people are taking advantage of the "Audiophile" addiction.
Can you imagine the profit margin on **wire**, Hmmmmmm maybe I'm in the wrong line of work....
Soon to come....DR super snakes errr or something like that...
You certainly have the right to do whatever you think is right with your $$$$.
