Does anyone know if the plugs on the Cardas Golden Reference power cord just screwed on?I am seriously considering buying a Cardas Golden Reference power cord and think that it may be a good idea to change its rather mundane IEC and power plugs into the extra Oyaide Palladium ones that I have sitting around. If it involves soldering those litz wires, then I'll just give up on the idea.

Thanks.
I suggest you send an email to Cardas 1st, and may be ask if they can do it for you for a fee. Cardas has an expert team (silent terminator) doing terminating these cables with multiple cores each wrapped with teflon coating. It is very very difficult to assemble something like a Cardas cable with all these complex configuration.
"Does anyone know if the plugs on the Cardas Golden Reference power cord just screwed on?"Most after market power cords are screwed on BUT there are a few that solder the connections......Wireworld is one.

WOW, U have Oyaide connectors just sitting around? lucky U :-)
It is not that hard to solder the connections although it does take some disassembly of the connectors and some good soldering skills.
I have done this very thing with some Marinco connectors but I would think that Cardas would do the work for U if U sent them the cable/connectors. :-)
Cheers,
