Any suggestions for better speaker cables (8ft) than my 14 year old MIT2 bi-wires's, that aren't too costly? They're very well broken in and they don't sound that horrible, but I think I can do better.
Follow Ups:
Hey, that's funny, I just mentioned the MIT T2 bi-wire on my 1/5 blog entry. But anyway, I used to have Adcom equipment. I used it with lord knows how many cable brands and models. Do you plan to keep the Adcoms for a long time? What do they, in the context of your room and system, sound like now? And what would you like them to sound like? Once you answer these questions, then you can formulate a battle plan for cables.

I'm still using my 8ft pair of MIT2 Bi-wire cables. They still sound great and there are a few things U can do to increase their resolution if your interested.
I replaced an old set of MIT 750 Plus's which are not in the same league as the MIT2's when it comes to coherence/clarity with a used set of AudioQuest Volcano's and the Volcano's are a MAJOR step up but spendy.
Maybe U could check out the AudioQuest CV-8's with DBS?
Cheers,
Thanks,I would definately be interested in improving upon my MIT2's because I think I would have to fork out some substantial monies for new cables. I enjoy the soundstage and transparency they produce covering a good range of octives and they have a very nice midrange quality about them (which really makes the 707's sing) along with the Adcom stuff. Your suggestions are welcome.

Several steps can be impemented to increase resolution starting with:Step 1: Spiking the Terminator box to the floor will solidify image specifity as well as clean up the treble. This can be done several ways depending on the floor covering. *
Step 2: Place a heavy weight, such as a brick, on top of the spiked terminator box.
Step 3: This is my preference. Place a TeknaSonics C-10 vibration absorber on top of the spiked teminator box with a small heavy platform under the terminator box with the platform spiked to the floor.
*If carpet is used, U can just screw some #8 Bugle Hd. Phillips construction screws into the carpet and they will make a firm/tight connection with the underlying flooring. Best of all, they can be removed with no visible damage to the carpet.
If a hard flooring is used, make a small platform out of 3/4" MDF slighly larger than the terminator box and insert some spikes on the underside.
