I have a Shunyata Diamondback that I use with my Exemplar Denon 3910 tubed CD player.Would a VH Audio Flavor 4 be an improvement?
Follow Ups:
I would recommend Audience powerChord instead of Flavor4. At used prices, Audience is hard to beat on digital. I had Diamondback and Audience was a huge leap forward on the DAC and on CD player.
Audience is more extended, more natural and with better dynamics than Diamondback. However, Diamondback is no slouch. If you asked for Diamondback vs Flavor4 for the amp, I'd say go for Flavor4. But for a digital component, I think the Audience powerChord is a better fit.

In my system, the Flavor 4 was a big step up from the Diamondback. Night and day difference when I did a comparison on my CDP. The Flavor 4 (after I had burned that puppy in pretty hard for an extended time) brought the music up a level- more bass, deeper soundstage, clearer highs, better "musicality".I went with an AirSine for my int amp and that cable is a bit more neutral... more refined, but at a higher cost. I had a Michael Wolff Carbon Source on the CDP and the Flavor 4 (in my system) is better. I'm perfectly happy with the Flavor 4 on my CDP.
