In Reply to: Anti-ICs - any difference in sound between Eichmann Bullits and Neutrik RCAs? posted by gordan on January 2, 2007 at 14:21:00:
...I have had several sets of IC's 'with and without' Eichmann bullets and I'll always go with the Eichmann's from now on. It's sort of a matter of 'how much is that last 20% (or so) worth'? With the relatively small cost for the Eichmann's, it was worth it to me.BTW, I'm about to order some bulk Anti-Cable. Any suggestions on how to terminate it (or not)?
Follow Ups:
I've had a bulk pair for a few years, they just keep getting better.i removed the enamel and keep oxidation off w/600 grit sandpaper.
After installing eichmann's cablepods on my speakers and amps it was apparent they are not a good match for the A-C's - too much heft and stress on the cablepods when trying to screw the cables down tight. SO, i straightened the bare A-C ends, inserted them into the banana plug holes and bent them back slightly...instant dielectric & solder-less banana plugs. the bare ends actually pop into place inside the cablepods, a very secure fit.
For $50, these are killer sp cables. i'm about to order another 20' of bulk for a subwoofer, i think they should work great for that application.
