Any opinions on which is better?
Follow Ups:
The closest "metal to metal" comparison I've done is with PS Audio Reference vs. Transcendent ICs. They are the same except for the wire itself. I found the silver Transcendent to have better low level resolution and a smoother upper midrange/low treble (or not as bright or forward, depending on your point of view).Happy listening.

I use naturally insulated silver cables made with medical grade silver, cryo treated and hand polished. It's more than just 'silver'.
I ended up with Beryllium Copper alloy from Joe Mazzaglia at auricleaudiodesign@hotmail.com. Joe hand builds his stuff with very low mass terminations and the combination is just delicious! Bested silver and copper in my system. YMMV
Do you have a website for Auricle's copper wire?
He does advertize intermittently on Audiogon, but why wait. Just contact him at: auricleaudiodesign@hotmail.com He'll respond I'll bet after the holidays.
How much?
He hand builds these so he sets his own prices based on materials and length you want. My recollection is that ICs run in the $100 range and speaker cables in the $175-250 range, but I'm not comfortable quoting for him. He's a very diligent builder and seller. So I recommend that you ask him directly for what you want. I wouldn't want to discourage you with too high a price nor discourage him with too low a price; it's his business to make them and sell them to you.FYI, I have no relationship with Joe other than as a very satisfied purchaser of several sets of his ICs and a set of his speaker cables.
or at least that's what I'm finding out is what suits my tastes. I have some really nice copper ICs, Luminous Synchestra Signature and the Reference, that uses a high grade 6nines copper, I believe. Yet, I recently discovered some nice silver cables. I thought that I would try out some more silver, but my own limited experience and a search of the archives has lead me to the conclusion that the success of a cable is more dependent on other factors such as the configuration, tubing, shielded or unshielded, and the components its used with than it is on the material used. Further experimentation may proof this wrong, but this is the best answer I can give at the moment.
Oy vey - that is like asking what kind of music is better. Do a search on the cable asylum and you will find enough opinions on this to choke a horse (I won't mention choking the chicken.. oops, guess I already did....) Bottom line - it depends. On your system, on your ears, on your room, on the music you prefer. No absolute answer except for the one YOU decide on in your room/system based on your ears/music. If you can, give each a try and see for yourself. If you DIY, it will be affordable and easy. Have fun.
...It's pretty much like asking folks if tube gear or solid state gear is better. Tubes have more prestige as does silver (more so than even single crystal copper), but the choice is ultimately up to what presentation suits your own personal taste. Listen to both silver and copper and decide what *you* like better. A discriminating ear is the best arbitrator :-)
