Any opinions will be appreciated.Information is quite shallow on these, and Discovery's Web site is downright crappy (looks abandoned, actually). Great bargain that competes with the best (saw them mentioned in one sentence with MIT Oracle), or hopelessly outdated design not worth fraction of MSRP they are selling for used?
Follow Ups:
...I have a bunch and have tried other cables around the price range without luck. But you never know until you hear it in your system.
I agree the Discovery website is crap and needs updating very badly. I will try and get to it early next year. We are alive and trying. Still producing wire for OEM. Essence is very underated. Happy Holiday to all.
I use an Essence phono cable and liked it quite a bit better than an XLO 3A and Analysis plus cable that I compared it with. I also use a 12 foot run of Discovery Essential that is quite musical. I auditioned another highly touted speaker cable recently and decided to stick with the Essential.A friend recently emailed Discovery about getting a phono interconnect and did receive a reply with a price quote. I also know that they continue to supply Verity Speakers with the cables for their jumpers.
Thanks for the replay.I looked at your system and noticed Straightwire interconnects - did you try to compare them to anything from Discovery lineup?
No I never compared SW to the Discovery. I only "discovered" the Discovery line after I had finished assembling all the SW Crescendo interconnects. However, I can see that they have similar sonic priorities.
