Has anyone tried the Johnson Audio RCA plugs, especially the gold-plated Johnson Audio
Booster (http://www.johnsonaudio.com)? It's about the same price as the Cardas SRCA Ultimate, so I'm wondering how they compare.
Follow Ups:
I have previously posted my opinions of the Connex RCA, see the link below. (Partsconnexion has upped the price since the time I posted). I have had no issues with screw loosening with them, besides the screws can be easily re-tightened.That said, I can't wait to try out the Johnson Audio silver solderless RCAs. They are also sold on eBay and the one-line feedback comments are pretty positive.

BOTH hot and ground are attached by screws (not soldered) in the gold and silver ones I've used (I guess the screwed-down wire could be soldered as well). How easy they are to use depends largely on the wire. I like them, but I like Bullet Plugs better.
The following remarks are not generated from personal experience of the connector, merely what I can see from the pictures and descriptions on the websiteOne thing that I personally don't like about them is the screw down terminal for the live (centre pin) conductor. Screw connections loosen over time. Potentially this can cause degradation of teh connection
Also, why even have a screw terminal when the ground connection is solder only.
I guess there is nothing stopping the purchaser from soldering the centre pin too, but in the absence of a proper solder bucket type terminal for the centre pin, the soldered connection may be less than ideal.
Just a few thoughts.

I went to a restaurant that serves "breakfast at any time". So I ordered French Toast during the Renaissance.
The name johnson audio however, is fantastic....(My surname)

................. but if I had to make a guess, I would say they are sourcing from Neotech in Taiwan. The old Neotech website had photos of their connector range which the Johnson range looks similar too (with the addition of the Johnson logos, etc.) but the new Neotech website doesn't show connectors. They are also using a lot of cable configurations which look like Neotech designs, some of which use OCC copper which Neotech is licenced to produce (one of two factories in the world). I guess, like with all things, time will tell.
Basslines, thanks for the info. Supposing they are made by Neotech, how good are the Neotech plugs supposed to be?
......................... of which there are few, nothing remarkable. There have been a few reviews over the years of Neotech products, mostly from the UK and Germany. None of them were ever more than 3 stars out of 5. I think Neotech, like so many Asian producers, have failed to establish their own brand name and continue to exist as a supplier to western companies. The plugs don't seem to be any different than most base metal or brass plugs with a gold flash. Sonically, they are up against a high bar as Eichmann Bullets and WBT Nextgen are hard to beat.
basslines, are the Cardas SRCA in the "base metal or brass plugs with a gold flash" category (sorry, I'm a newbie)? I'd considered the Eichmanns (same price as the Cardas), but my cable is 9.4 mm OD, and the Eichmanns accomdate only 9 mm (the Cardas accomdates 9.5 mm). WBT does make a plug that fits my cable -- the Topliine 0150 -- but at $35 per plug it's 3.5X as much as the Cardas and Eichmann (and, with 5 pairs to terminate, outside my budget). Or to put this all more simply: other than the Johnson, the Cardas SRCA is the only plug I've found that will fit both my cable and my budget (~$10/plug). Is the SRCA a good plug sonically, or should I keep looking?
