I'm making a power strip using three Cooper Isolated Ground Hospital Grade outlets. I will be using a Volex 17604 shielded 14 gauge power cord to the strip. I want to wire them independently (star?) which means I'll have to couple three 12 or 14 gauge wires from the each leg of the outlet with the 14 gauge wire from the power cord (a total of four wires for each leg).I was hoping to put these wires into a female crimp terminal which I could mate (slide on then solder) with the switch in the strip (I MUST have a switch). Unfortunately I cannot find a female crimp large enough to accept four large conducters.
How is everyone connecting these? Suggestions?
Also still trying to decide if a circuit breaker is warranted - this strip will used for my subwoofer and surround amps and will be plugged into a Tripp Lite Surge Protector (it has a circuit breaker).
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thanks, I wanted to avoid pigtailing but I'll likely do that then to a female crimp connector to the switch. Thanks again.
get some 6 ga or 4 ga crimp connectors. Take some of the cable with you to see what fits. You need a connector that will take four 14 ga wires together. DO NOT use anything but the proper tool to crimp the connectors or you will have problems later. Crimp sleeves are also ok , if I can't find sleeves I just cut the ring from the connector lealing just the sleeve which I can crimp with a proper tool. Pliers are definitely out.
Hope this helps

Attach a wire pigtail to the switch. Mate the other end of the pigtail to the multiple conductors with a suitably sized wire nut. Wrap the connection with electrical tape for added security.
