The HD14 took over 200 hours to break in on my Klipsches. It was weird - the sound would be changing when I was listening to it.I finally determined it had some boomy hump around 250 hz or so. After I sold the Klipsches, I moved the HD-14's to my subs.

Do you think they would break in faster if you used them for awhile powering a saw or drill out in the garage before turning them into speaker cable? ;)
........breaking in as I have listened to them over the past15 hours or so. At first I thought there was a touch of brightness. Now that has mellowed. I'm also hearing pretty good low freq. extension with a nice solid slamminess.-Steve
These cables certainly tamed the brightness problem I had. Now with the subs, they add some texture on the bottom end, for a system a bit on the analytical side.
