Robert,I got the Prometheus from Bill back in December. I noticed a couple of months back that the one of the open baffles had its center sucked in rather than pushed out like the other 12" drivers. I don't know whether this is a natural occurance or one of my nephews punched it in when no one was watching. I haven't noticed a difference in the sound from one side of the room to the other, so I have not worried about it. Should I be worried?
BTW, I really like these speakers. The only downside is that they are so revealing that everything (components, cables, cones, etc.)makes a difference.
For owners experiencing an upper base suck-out, a pair of majic bullets between my cdp and preamp solved that.
Thanks in advance,

I suppose it's the dust cap you are refering to. Try a vacuum cleaner, with a hose attachment, you should be able to suck the dust cap out.
Hi Kevin,welcome to the forum!
The wideband`s dustcap is made from mesh to avoid compression- effects, so the vacuum cleaner- method (Clive, thank you for the info, this works fine for all solid paper dustcaps) probably doesn`t work. Try pulling the dustcap out with a strong self- adhesive tape, this may work better. When you don`t get it right it is a cosmetic problem only, the sound isn`t affected.Regards

but I just pushed in the other channel after my son pushed one of them the other way ;-)
To infinity and beyond!!!
Shame. I'm away from home so I couldn't look at my speakers to check. Oh well, it works for a dome tweeters.
Thanks Robert and Clive
