Well lets see Between fedex and ups ground, They have Knocked a krell ksa 250 out of square, bent the chassis on a hurricane amp, Lost then refound A single Vac 140III then destroyed the pair,Crushed a corner of a Jbl 4435, broke both baffles on L300's Busted tubes, bent tin
aluminum.
Dhl Actually delivered 4 mono block tubers in one piece overnight at the ground rate, Picked up a shipment on time, kicked the ass out of any rate quote out there,And i can still hide behind my computer screen:)

Try them you wont be disappointed, if they treat you as they did me.
Also I can dropp ogg a package at a DHL shipper with no mark-up try that with UPS. Fedex is good but only works out of Kinos out here
I once had UPS crush a Parasound amp. I mean crushed. Driving over it with a truck would not have done this, perhaps a train was involved. But overall I can;t really say there are too many problems.
.
all carriers have damages, thefts, mis-deliveries. ups does more in one day than dhl does all week and more than twice the daily volume of fed ex. yet their on time performance, damages and mis-deliveries are much less.unfortunatly audio items are the hardest hit and as the other poster said good packaging helps.
no one is perfect, but ups over 95 percent effective out of 14.5 million packages a day is prety close and well above the competitors.
but it was the best packed component I've ever gotten and that includes a Krell in years past. The JD-1000RC was the first triple boxed component I have received.

I had the EXACT same experience.
UPS Ground, Jolida JD-1000RC, Triple boxed, arrived perfect.
Jolida's packaging is great (love the amp too).
nifty.

It would be interesting to know if the packaging was identical for all those shipments you speak of, and further if such packaging was adequate for the item(s) shipped. Typically, damage in shipment is the fault of inadequate packaging rather than the carrier per se. I've received packages via all carriers, but only sustained damage when the originator of the shipment didn't bother with sufficient packaging. A fragile or this end up sticker is no substitute for adequate packaging. Place the blame where it belongs.
When i bought my Blue Circle amp, it came in a $200 package: Double boxed with a form fitting foam jig in the inner box with 4"+ thick foam. The inner box was protected from the outer box with more packing stuff (I forget which) to aborb blows. The owner ships all his products protected like this, or better, and says it is worth it to most customers. So, if you buy BC 208 monoblocks, you are looking at about $1000 worth of packaging.
I blame the 3 foot drop off the conveyor belt; to bad they're to lazy to lift the packages off the line. And yes I do understand, they do big volume but maybe they should think about cutting back the volume or increasing personal, but hey that might have an impact on company expenses.Unfortunately I guess they would rather have the boxes take the hit rather than the bottom line!
...and thanks for the heads up. I'll definitely keep DHL in mind for future shipments, especially of delicate gear. I have had my share of damaged goods from both UPS and Fedex.
