My Yamaha M-80 blew the right channel a while back burning up 2 resistors and a transistor. I purchased thoes items from Yamaha but I also wanted to replace the 2 large Nichicon (M) muse 1000uf 100v caps. Yamaha told Me they no longer supply these caps and that the third connection on the base was for strength only, so any 2 prong cap would suffice. Any suggestions where I coud get some good quality caps for this amp? I've tried a bunch of electronic outlets, but on one seems to carry these.

Try Mouser Eelectronics.
I saw thoes caps at the Mouser site, but I don't know the quality, and I hesitate to install one or two dollat caps into this amp. Does anybody know what caps they've been using to replace the Nichicon Muse caps in this amp?
Vishay/Sprague is a reputable manufacturer. I have new Spragues for the main filter caps in my SAE 2400 amp. Last year I recapped all the PC boards with Xicons from Mouser and Parts Express. The amp sounds just fine. Good luck with your continued search.
Thanks Glen.
