Any good book recommendations to learn about this?

tvad, thanks! I already ordered the book however I was referring to any other possibilities, I am open to new things as well. Thanks again!~ Did you get to view my post on the room size?
Are they near field (away from walls) close to walls or in corners? Each will affect the loudness at a given wattage you will get. My listing above gives you a rough idea of how loud a pair of speakers with you siting about 7 ft away will play. From there you can factor in that if your room is very large and you are sitting significantly further than 7 ft. away well the SPL will begin to drop off at a given input wattage. But it all depends on how loud you like your system to go. In your room with a 100 watt amp and your speakers you should have little problem getting 100db-105Db (avg.)volumes before driving your amp into clipping. If you like it louder than that well you need to get a bigger amp. 100DB if based as avg. volume is quite loud, your peaks would likely be 3 to 6db higher depending on source materials of course.
