Hello,
I would like to build Love Kitten pre. The original transformer used in the project is out of my reach. Finally after searching the web I was able to get two transformers from Whirlwind website: http://www.whirlwindusa.com/trans01.html
The ones which I have selected are TRHL. Their specs are slightly different from B7 trafo. Input imp. is 20k; output imp. 150 Ohms; Frequency resp. 20 - 20k
Should I change values of components within orginal circuit or no? If yes, may I ask for the help with new values? :)
Thanks for the help !!!

Any suggestion?
But after looking at the "Love Kitten" article referenced at the link below, it appears your output impedance of 150 ohms is lower than the original. A preamp with a low output impedance should work well with many power amps. How well depends on the input impedance of your amp. Some believe that a mismatched preamp output impedance where it's not at least 10x or even 100x lower than the input impedance of your amp will give poor transfer characteristics and will sound "light weight". I've read others who discount this so-called impedance mismatch behaviour. In the end, it's worth trying it with your parts on hand and seeing how well you like it. Tweaking a resistor or two is cheap and easy after you get done to see if it's makes much difference. But you've got to realize whatever impedances your preamp exhibits, how well it works depends particularly on which source you use and and what amp your feeding.
Hello tommytube, thanks for the response. I will play with it during weekend. I wonder how those trafos will work? Unforunately, B7s are expensive. The ones which I have found were the closest with parameters and designed for audio. My source is a CD player ( Rotel ). Amplifier: currently NAD.But, in the future I want to build: Hiraga, one of Zens, and I think about SE tube amp ( i did not make decision which one, yet.) Speakers; currently PSB alphas, but I work on single drive ones.
