I don't think they went bust. Business was suspended due to personal reason from the owner. Too bad, I'd love to audition the amp.
Follow Ups:
You want an amp that sounds like an amp you haven't heard?
Really looking for a short list of good SS amp along the line of LNPA to narrow down the search.I've read enough about this amp over the past couple of years to warrant the next step of auditioning but really never took the time to follow through. Now, that they suspend operation the initial search process starts over.
I think the Odyssey Stratos amps represent great value especially in the Reference or, better yet, Extreme versions with their beefed up power supplies. The 20-year (transferable, at least once) warranty, good sound and affordable price are a hard-to-beat combination. They work great with Maggies too.
If you are willing to spend more money I think the Ayre V-5xe is an excellent amp.
I don't have much experience with the Innersound amps (built by CODA) or the Edge amps but they are also worth consideration.
some other names that come to mind:odyssey
yba (used)
parasound halo series
ati is also a relatively good bargaini'm sure if you get in touch with the guy who built the LNPA he could hook you up with one. he posts here quite often.
Dan has stated his reason in this and other forums for suspending operation, so I don't really want to bug him.
I'm afraid not.
