Anyone know if it is possible to have the bulbs replaced by Led's or Fiber optics? My bulbs are starting to go and I will have to send it back to McIntosh for bulb replacment.I would think that it would be possible to have the bulbs replaced by a better lighting system, though I doubt McIntosh would be willing to do so.
Any ideas who may assist me?
Follow Ups:
I asked audio classics about a kit for the C200, and unfortunately they told me that no, the C2200 kit is no good, and they are not developing anything for the C200.

Do not sent the unit in to have the bulbs replaced. They can be easily replaced in seconds by the owner. Each bulb used in that unit is mounted in a plastic base which twists counterclockwise to losen, clockwise to tighten. No soldering required at all. The replacement bulbs can be ordered from McIntosh parts department. To my knowledge, there is no LED kit available for the C200 yet.
I have a C200.
Thanks, I contacted them and it is a no go, but they are working on it?I received and email from McIntosh and the cost of the bulbs are dirt cheap and I undetstand they just twist off and on. Piece of cake I hear.
The folks at Audio Classics in Vestal, NY, have developed a kit for the C2200. I'm pretty sure its not that much of a stretch for the C200.Cheers,
David
