Cool! awesome info, well since I have Chinese tube gear which is not bad but I do believe that for the price I can do better and have more power. My shanling STP 80 is good dont get me wrong but I am in need of more refined power and bass since I am bass junkie. I have looked into Cary but too expensive, Jolida but again Chinese made, Quicksilver, and a few others that I cant recall. Would like more power than the stock 35wpc that I have at the moment.... Good sound but I NEED MORE! lol

Hey, just a watch-out...you say that you are a "bass junkie". If that is the case, you might consider solid state. Bass is not that important to me, although I like to hear an acoustic bass or kick-drum impact. For me, the Cronus and Quads provide adequate bass in my small room with some room reinforcement. But again if you are all about bass, you may consider going in a different direction. My experience is that 6550 output tubes give better bass than EL34 or KT77's. I don't mean to muddy the waters...
Hey Dave, thanks for the advise but I come from solid state and I am not looking to go back, I guess you misunderstood my desire, I like my bass solid and more refine with a little more finese to it. SS sounds good in the bass region but overall it doesnt please me in the musicality and finese of the tubes.
which surprised me as I was not expecting it to be. I'm using it to power Tannoys (Eyris DC3) which it does quite well (8 Ohm load).
It clipped at 86 wpc according to Stereophile. 102 watts with one channel driven.
Mine does not hum like JA's review sample apparently did. Rogue told me that JA's test was written 6 months ago. In any case, it's very fine with me.
