I'm thinking to buy a new integrated amp and can't make a decision due to the limitation of having a chace to hear all of them.Which one do you think will sound best between: Unison Unico/ Unico P, Primaluna Prologue 1/2, Copland CSA 8, Exposure 2010S. Or should I go to Pre/power instead?
thanks

Very nice
I have one on order and the price was $3500. Bobby Palkovic (Merlin Loudspeakers) is the US distributor and told me when I ordered mine that the price was going to $4000 soon. He would be the one to speak with if you're interested. Very knowledgeable, loves to talk, and has a good ear.
I looked down at what you are trying to achieve, and although Ican't comment on the specific combination of components, I di actually own the Unico P.
I bought it to replace a beautiful Valvemark tube amp (Made here in australia) to gain a little more power but mainly that SS bass control/power combination.
Its a hybrid (as I am sure you know) and it gives me the best of both worlds as far as I am concerned. The SS grunt and the tube warmth.
I really really think its a good amp.
I picked up an ex demo model for a song and I haven't looked back.
If its power suits you and I think its underrated myself, then I would have no hesitation in this one.
by strongly suggesting either the Eastern Electric M520 or the Pathos Classic One MkII, both of which I have experience with. Both are excellent tube hybrid integrateds which would satisfy. The Pathos is a gorgeous unit with a "hands off" (i.e. minimal tube rolling - no muss, no fuss-) layout. The Eastern Electric is a tweaker's dream with five sets of tubes, pentode and ultra linear mode, as well as three settings for negative feedback to muck with. Take your pick of these two integrateds, and have good tunes for reasonable prices.
Will the Pathos be able to drive the Totem with ease? If I can't find the Make 2 used, is the Mark one ok? What are the differences?
I preferd my Valvemark for detail and warmth. The Unico (iom) knocks spots off the Pathos, although that is in MY system and its possible it would be different in yours.
What are your speakers and source/s? What do you listen to? What size room do you have? What kind of sound do you want to hear transparent and detailed or musical and rhythmic etc?
What do you current use for an amp'?
I'm using the Totem Arro and my source are Audiomeca Kreatura/Assemblage DAC 2.7 Platinum. The room size is 4 * 6 Meters. Usually listening to Jazz and orchestra and like smooth, detailed, big soundstage and transparent sound with some bass slam also. I'm using the Creek A43/P43 pre-power combo. So I'm considering to buy a power amp to pair up with the creek pre amp also but I think a good integrated sounds better (matching issue) than a pre-power combo.
thanks
