HI,
I'm looking for an inexpensive speaker stand for my MG.6's and am looking at a DIY design for the short term. (Love the MYE stands or PG's new ones but will have to save for them )Think I'm going to use this one if it can be adapted to the .6 http://www.integracoustics.com/MUG/MUG/tweaks/green_lantern/
My Mg.6's have the side panels of the old 1.5's and 2.7's, etc. and was wondering what could be used to clamp onto the speaker sides. Green Lantern uses a metal piece which works great for the 1.6's, but the wood sides of the .6 are a different shape. Any other idea how the clamp would attach? ( from struts to wood sides )
Thanks,

yeah; that's the missing link IMO. In retrospect I'd drill a small hole in the mdf and insert a inlet/anchor; then run a screw through it with a bracket. But the whole idea was not to do any damage in case of a potential resale.

I am using a modification of GL's design on my III's. I tried a few home made clamps and then bit the bullet. I removed the socks and drilled holes throught the MDF panel, inserted T-nuts and bolted the stands to the panels.
I may be an egoist but at least I don't talk about other people.
My MGIII's wood side rails were originally attached with something like a drywall screw. I simply found a longer one that would also go through the wood stand supports I made. It looks very clean.
