RE: Acoustic Signature and Origin Live arms? So cool..

Posted by JerryS on June 16, 2022 at 16:51:51:

You're not pushing it. I'm using the Origin Live Agile arm more often, which could be a result of it being a little heavier and better sounding with the cartridges on hand. In other words, its compliance is just a bit lower than the TA-7000 Neo arm. The AS arm feels massless.

Both arms are beautifully made and work well. Their cueing is very different: the AS arm is straight mechanical - no damped lowering unless the operator makes it so. The OL arm has dampened cueing - slowly lowers to the record surface.

The OL arm comes with an excellent cable, while AS includes a low-end Audioquest cable that they assume you will replace.

There is a window behind the turntable reflecting off the gold-plated Silencers in the platter.
