was pioneered by Chuck Berry.

His sense of humour will never be matched.

The lyrics were clever and smart.

His music was innovative but founded on the traditions.

He is the Godfather of Rock and Roll.

Thank God that Keith Richards did that incredible documentary on Berry. Not only was Berry revealed as the consummate smart ass who was well aware of his importance but the glimpse of who Richards is was the bonus.

We knew Berry was a little prickly. Of course, he deserved to be but that Richards was downright lovable is unforgettable.

Chuck Berry will live forever. Hail, Hail ...
