RE: Who here remembers the Oasis Turntable ??

Posted by Lyall@oz.net on January 6, 2017 at 09:18:50:

Hello, first post and just registered after finding this Oasis Turntable thread. After almost 26 years in storage I'm documenting the restoration of my Oasis.

I came here after finding the picture of two tables together. I believe the one on the left is my table. I purchased this table from a good buddy in 1983 (JD Brill). JD is pretty sure he bought it from Tony Vorell. JD was my equipment guide and before this table I bought the 3D Acoustics 3D6/10B Sat/Sub system thru Whittier Music. I still run those speakers today in my garage.

I'm currently in contact with the designer Dave Gillespie who is very interested in this table restoration.

Lots of pictures on my Vinyl Engine thread here

Picture of mine with new tank after the original fractured over the years. Watertight and ready to spin first time in almost 26 years.

Hope you folks enjoy, I'm having a blast tracing my tables history and I now think I have the full story.
