RE: Who here remembers the Oasis Turntable ??

Posted by basaker on December 23, 2012 at 06:30:26:

Good Morning Jeff: I remember you from your California days. My self and my partner Tony had a Audio shop in Brea,CA. I owned an Oasis Turntable. I remember meeting the designer Dave back in the 1970's. He is now in located in Las Vegas, NV. A couple of years ago I donated my Oasis Turtable to my dear friend Brooks Berdan to put it in his shop to show the world this fine product. It was a fantastic turntable. Back when Tony and I started our shop we set the Oasis up and used it for awhile. In the production I think there was only 13 or 14 tables ever made. Tony and I bought two of them. The production shop was torched and burned down. It was in Orange County, CA. That was the end of its production. Dave had U.S. patend's on its design. You can find them in the patend office. I have some pictures of the table used in my home system from years gone by. I will look for them and will post them if posable. I rember you Jeff when you would bring Fulton products in to our shop. We sold the Fulton 80 speakers, and Fulton Brown and Gold Speaker wires, and other goodies. We were dealer's for you for some years. Hope to hear from you.
Richard
