RE: Tell me about my new (to me) Pioneer SX-5570

No pictures necessary, it is a 950. I looked it up and noticed it has three sets of speaker outs the 850 only has two.
Tell you this much, even pictures of the inside would not be conclusive because the 850 is so similar. I bet all but about a dozen parts are interchangeable.
So, enjoy the extra (extra ???) 20 watts per channel. Note that I consider these to be among the best receivers Pioneer ever made, and can only be topped by esoteric stuff. Like the MAC 1900, though I think we got more power. Alright there are a few Kenwoods out there... In those actually the 9400 is better than the 9600 because the 9400 doesn't use output ICs. I made some money retrofitting and adapting these things to take an available IC but I am sick of it. The job may work well but it looks like shit.
But you definitely got a rara avis there. I would never sell it for one. Actually I can't really think of anything I would be willing to trade it for. Maybe a really nice gun, but I mean a really nice one.
However when you write your will I can mail you my name and location.
If you ever want to send it to me for service or something, send it naked. Take off the front plate and all the knobs, and the top and bottom covers. I would rather not be responsible for them. In fact that is how my clients usually bring things now anyway. I prefer it
One thing, that thing might be full of 2SC726s. And if needed I have the right kind of FETs for the preamp section. (if I am thinking the right unit here...)
Yes, I have actual JFETs in both polarities.
Anyway, have fun with your bad ass to the bone machine there and don't bring the cops too much.
