HK 630 Receiver

Posted by Brian McGowan on May 27, 2020 at 11:16:40:

I just picked up at our local thrift store a Harmon & Kardon 630 as is for parts or repair for $19.99 + Tax ! It was in such nice shape on the outside & the Owners Manual plus the Brochure was also with it that I had to take a chance! Now it looks like it maybe will have to be a Parts unit as you can see where one of the Transformers got overly hot and dam near burnt the wires off! Also all the Big Caps around the the Transformers have bulged on the top! Otherwise everything else looks good! I got new fuses for it but figured best to not put them in as they most likely would just blow again! Will try & post pictures later Today! I have a feeling to replace the Transformers would be too costly or also very hard to do! Any advice would be great!
