thanks, I have had some time to listen and so far I really like stuff like Jeff Beck.

its in my office and I am sure the room is affected it dramatically, I put it in near-field to help with that but it's only a 10 x 10 room with no room treatments.

When I get my Marantz 6100 back from the shop I'll check out the phono pre amp in it.
