Sockets would be nice but it would definitely take some creativity to do. Very little room above and to the sides. I would likely need an adapter and a wired extender to make a horizontal configuration. Even that might be tight.
But I am so impressed with the overall sound just using the tighter toleranced NE5532APSR vs my stock NE5532 that I can see what all the opamp fuss is about. Definitely worth exploring. (Unless it was just my using silver solder!)
