There is no reason to do anything to Western Electric amps as a rule because most everything they used in their amps were the best you could get..They have the hermetically sealed paper in oil bath tub caps..You have the cloth wire with good insulation.The iron is incredible..You have to change a couple small electrolytics but you can do that without destroying its value..Just solder them in.
