Look closely at the 6BY5 datasheet. That 175 mA. is per diode.
If all you need is 150 mA., the 6CA4/EZ81 will do the job for you. That Noval type IS the "little brother" of the 5AR4/GZ34, including tolerance of comparatively large 1st filter capacitors.
