"Jazz Alley" a misnomer? What about "Tape Trail."

There's a recent thread on Jazz Alley questioning the appropriatness of its name. Several posters gave pretty cogent reasons why it IS appropriate.

So, what about "Tape Trail?" What the hell is THAT all about?

Yeah, I realize this is a nothingburger of a question :-)
