RFI that affects phono

Posted by stevenwmc on September 25, 2012 at 04:11:43:

My preamplifier has a high gain phono stage capable to handle MC cartridge with output as low as 0.25mv. I can hear the radio transmission about 2-3 feet from the speaker when the volume is at 9 o'clock and no music was playing. It's pretty annoying even though the radio was unheard when music was playing. Is there any method to get rid of the RFI without affecting the sound quality?
