Yes I replaced them with Frieds new drivers at that time.
A polypropylene instead of Bextrene driver.
Cleaner bass.
IIRC they were $300.00 a pair.
That was way more then 30 years ago.
Today my wife made a knit blanket for that girl.
Now a women with kids of her own.

If I still had those speakers they would have had all the foam
dampening material removed, and replaced with 10 oz poly fill.
