I like the idea of single driver speaker if, and this is a big if, I don't sacrifice too much. I may be asking too much of an open baffle design.

The DeCapos may be a good match for my style of listening. Thanks for the suggestion.

One speaker I heard with the Decware amp was the Lii Silver 10 Reference. It is very vivid and efficient, a little weak on bass as it seems to roll off pretty quickly at 52 dB MOL, and is shelved up in the presence region.
