Additional Advice

First, thanks, Lynn, for answering my questions on the E-MU board.
I may take a different approach. I'm looking at using a USB sound card. Would allow (for reasons related to location of computer and sound system) for shorter cable runs. Looking at the M-Audio Audiophile USB or their Duo external devices. Principle purpose is stereo listening; possibly some line level recording.
I have decided that I'd prefer to have RCA i/o.
Any experience or advice?
Thanks.
