Sometime, when the problem occurs and you aren't going to watch TV for a while, leave it like that and check the router connection status again. There are some pretty long timeouts. You should also be able to see the IP address, try to ping it from another device when it drops the connection. You could also try to disable V6 Internet protocol and force it to V4, but it is really a long shot.
If you have a different router available to you, it would be interesting to try it. It does sound like it is a TV problem, but that doesn't necessarily mean that changing something else wouldn't correct it. I'm saying this because this should have shown up under LG testing, so with some configuration the wired connection was probably reliable for them when they tested it.
