Completely separate entrances and visually partitioned off sections for men and woman. You thoroughly wash and rinse outside of the community bath pool. The steaming hot water community bath pool is for soaking only, no swimming. But I was just a 4th grader kid in the 1960's so I swam! Never got kicked out but scolded many times.

Homes had baths but the hot community bath was a treat especially during the cold winter months. Nothing sexual about them.
