And there wasn't much interest in leases, the White House said. Ask yourself this: Is it in Big Oil's interest to have a lot of oil on the world market and see its price fall below zero like it did a couple of years ago, or to judiciously release oil onto the market and rack up $20 billion in profit? There's your answer, and it will always be the answer as long as we are driving those giant SUVs and dependent on fossil fuels.
