RE: Muzikmike audio gear

(Rod/Bored: Please do not delete this before fully understanding my intent. I know it "pushes the boundaries" of what is acceptable, but please try to understand my reasoning for posting here on Central. Thanks. Jim)

As some of you may be aware, I purchased Mike's Anthem pre- and Monarchy Audio monoblocks before he passed away. I won't go into the details of the sale, but let's just say he gave me a "Good Deal" and leave it at that.

However, I no longer have a need for them, nor can I foresee a time when I will, so as much as it pains me to do this, sometime in the near future I'm going to list them here on AA, and possibly elsewhere (local CL).

So why the post, you may ask? Good question!

Here's the deal: Along with Vinyl Asylum, Mikee's favorite hang-out on AA was probably right here: on Central. Many of us were introduced to him here, and part of his spirit will, I hope, remain here forever. Mikee was one of the "Original Centraliens" (anyone remember the Dookyheads?), and because, Once Upon A Time, we were such a close-knit (and dare I say it, damn near "Family") group, I'd like to make the following offer to other "Family" members (before listing them elsewhere): If you were a friend of Mike's, are interested in his old amps and/or preamp, and will give it/them a Good Home, in the spirit of Mike's generosity (if you knew him you'd understand), I would be willing to let them go for the same price that Mike sold them to me.

I think Mike would have wanted it this way.

If interested, drop me an email & we can talk. If I don't hear from anyone I'll go ahead and list them at what I feel is a "fair" price.

Jim

(I miss you, Mikee! More than I ever thought I would.)
