It's too bad that some posters injected politics into this thread. My observation about having hundreds of people standing in the open and being an invitation to a greater tragedy wasn't political, it was simply an observation of what was going on. "Secondary" attacks have happened before, where "first responders" were the target. Thank goodness this wasn't a coordinated attack by several people.

Unless everyone thinks that "the response plan" was perfect and that government ALWAYS has the situation under control, there should ALWAYS be prudent observation, review and possible changes to be made. Having people standing in a large group in the open while still looking to see if there were additional killers was a glaring mistake which could have, but fortunately didn't, result in dozens or hundreds more people dead.
