Driving a 600ohm LCR with Mu output of Cascode CCS

Posted by Bill Jaensch1 on March 14, 2017 at 20:36:44:

Hi,

I'm looking to use a 6C45P or triode connected 7788 or 12GN7 (all options running in the 20mA range (maybe decde to go a bit hotter) K&K cascode CCS loaded to drive a 600 Ohm LCR phono circuit configured as a "defined load".

My back of the envelope calculations indicate an output impedance in the 80 ohm range from the Mu output of the cascode CCS with the above tubes at those operating points. Does this sound about right?

Comments on whether this sounds like a workable scenario would be appreciated too.

cheers,
Bill
