RE: ElectroVoice brotherhood

I'll never forget the surprise I got when I had to take a pair of EV Esquires and a Scott 340B to get the Empire turntable I wanted because it was a package deal for $75.
I still have the Esquires and will never get rid of them because I've never heard a new small speaker regardless of price I like better.
The Regal was one step up from the Esquire and had slightly better bass extension.
I'm not sure about the Regal but EV did eventually cheapen the later Esquires with a lesser quality mid driver and no wood box around it.
The T350 does sound better than the T35 but it is way overkill in efficiency for the Regal or Esquire.
Maybe a polyester or paper in oil cap for the T35/T35B will do the trick for you?
