RE: Klam ? Klam12 aperture

Posted by freddyi on August 13, 2012 at 10:46:35:

hey DJK - found a note saying C's klam12 did well on drum and acoustic bass tracks with a P=1/Q=3 wing flare - - see if this routine will run on your system - hope the late Gregg Baker got it right. It won't run on 64bit Win7 - IIRC he did something to limit its flexibility. A P=1/Q=1.7 flare opens a bit faster in its second half of travel than a radial arc for the same starting gap, length, and final width. 1/3 is slower in expansion and of course smaller in total area. At one time before being compiled, spat out aperture area which might be useful for rough Helmholtz resonator guesstimate.
