RE: What Are Those Speakers

Posted by angeloitacare on January 14, 2009 at 06:42:38:

hi

its a idea of a synergy horn with design features to be good looking and eye catching, frendly for home use. This is of essential importance to be successful in the high-end market. Just take a SH96 cabinet, and change the veneer, i think more could be done. Competitors do elaborate connectors, feet, name gravure plaquettes etc. , all well thought up the smallest details , to catch the attention of the consumer. It must be like jewelry, waking the desire to own the object, only looking at it. Just see all the Audio jewelry exposed this last week end at CES 2009. How many speakers at the show really sound good ? Not many. But many wake the desire of consuming, because the look nice. That is maiby almost of the same importance as performance per sé. My designed speaker has dimensions to be a floorstander, but not too big to invade the living room. A grill in front would improve elegance and discretion. Dimensions would be 25" large, 57" height, and 24" deep. The speaker is slightly inclined, so the point source height level would be at ear level, if the listener sits about 14ft away. I have not given importance at instance and thoughts about components, and technical aspects.
