I have the SE-115 and like them

I like my SE-115, I am using them with a Sansa Clip. They have a nice full range sound with good but not overblown bass. I find the best sound is with the foam eartips, you have to roll the foam between you fingers before inserting into your ear, which takes a few seconds longer than using earbuds, but the bass/midrange is really nice. The high frequencies are fine, they may be slightly rolled off but it's a really good, warm balance across the whole range of frequencies.
The Clip has an output impedance of 16 Ohms, which matches the SE-115 impedance. If the Ipod had a different output impedance than 16 Ohms, it may affect the sound to some degree, but certainly Shure designed their IEM's with the ipod in mind as one of the sources.
