RE: Can one of the many inmates who must own these wires tell us how you like it?

In my system about half of my cable loom is Odin or Odin 2. As far as Odin 2 is concerned, currently my speaker cables and the main system power cord. I started replacing the mostly Valhalla and Valhalla 2 product with Odin several years ago. I also upgraded all the Valhalla to Valhalla 2 at the least. And since December 2016, I have replaced the Odin speaker cables and main power cord with Odin 2. Are they expensive? For goodness sakes yes. Are they worth it? I suspect most would say no. I think it depends on the individual and the rest of the system. If your components are mostly in the five figure and up range each on their own, then a cable expense of this magnitude makes sense. And it doesn't have to be Nordost. Transparent, MIT, Crystal Cable, Synergistic, and many more have cable products in similar price ranges. I also believe in consistency. That is why I decided several years ago to standardize on Nordost. I won't bore anyone with a sales pitch because it is each to their own as to what products and by what manufacturer are used. As far as Odin 2 is concerned, in my system, it was remarkable the difference the speaker cables made this past December , and that was comparing Odin to Odin 2. And three weeks ago, the Odin 2 power cord that replaced an Odin power cord lowered the noise floor and improved clarity to a very noticeable degree. Now I certainly realize that there are many readers who would think it is crazy to spend this kind of money on a stereo system. Most days I agree with you. I sometimes wonder why I did just that. But here's the thing, if you can separate the cost from what cables in this price league can do for the RIGHT system, them sonically, they are a no brainer, provided you can afford them. I happen to love this hobby, and have for about 44 years now. I have finally reached a stage in my life where I can afford some "excesses" every once in a while. And audio is mine.
