Or maybe it was a lottery.
The tubes were the then new perforated mesh 2A3s and a nice upgrade to Paramours.
I've built a lot of stuff since than and couldn't have done it without the Search box. I have a lot of Yo-Yos, orm would have if it weren't for pets and grandkids, but haven't been a contributor the past few years as I had to quit working. All that can should give what they can.
In more or less reverse chronological order, a a good bit but nowhere all I built and much I still have. In 2001 I couldn't have identified a resistor. If you don't look stuff up, shame on you.
