I have a Benchmark dac 3 HGC and like it very much. It is analytical and clean. I don't know about the measurements. I can add some warmth with my tube amp which I use for music, while I use a transistor amp for movies, TV, etc. It is a much friendlier sounding dac than the Benchmark dac 1 USB, which I used for a long time, but the dac 3 is still very clean, with the feeling of listening back to the source. Just me, but I like to add any flavoring to the sound as late in the sound chain as possible.
