I contacted Viablue and got a prompt reply. Seems I wired things correctly. I was supposed to cut out the foil and wired pins 1. Grounding, 2. White, 3 Black. I tested continuity and also short between pins and we �re ok no shorts. All seems fine.

What has me intrigued is when I use my older Ultimate cables the volume of the music rise with respect to my Via blue XLR. Could it be they are too thick and thus there is an increase in resistance?
