Very interesting Tom. I believe I am hearing the same qualities in the Rhodium spades as you described. The midrange and treble are really nice--fast, detailed, and fully extended---but the bass is slightly lean although tight and detailed. I would like a bit more warmth but I don't want to give up any of the treble speed and extension to get it. By the way, the spades in my case are on jumper cables for my Spendor speakers, not on the speaker cables themselves.
